Eat, Pray, Love: the movie—I felt that the screenwriter (+Julia) pulled it off, a challenging feat when so much of the book's appeal = Elizabeth Gilbert's ability to put deep-down emotions into wonderfully descriptive words + a sort of Woody Allen-ish introspection that = great entertainment...
I always say, "There's a fine line between self-absorption and self-realization." I feel that Woody capitalizes on the former; Elizabeth has gained the latter. Her journey demonstrates the fruits of processing AND integrating one's “stuff." Come to a more peaceful, deeper place within oneself and VOILA!—the right guy appears.
