I enjoyed watching Oprah's interview with Depak Chopra on her OWN network. Meeting up in India, she asks him, "Where to you go when you die?"
His response: "The moment you 'die' — you don't go anywhere. That's the moment that you fetch your thoughts, fetch your creativity, imagination, insight, intuition — you simply stop using the physical body for communication."
I love his use of the word "fetch!" It's a wonderful way to describe the feeling I experience when I merge with the consciousness of a client's non-physical loved one. It feels so incredibly, expansive, insightful, omnipresent, omnipotent...full!
Often times, when I've done my best to convey the essence of this to my clients about their loved ones — a sensation for which there really are no words — I almost have to laugh when the client responds, asking, "So...then...he(/she)...is...okay?"
