I always have apprentices begin their weekly (phone) sessions with a "scan" of my timeless consciousness. It never ceases to amaze me, this remarkable evidence—that absolutely everything that we experience, think about, even just glance at—get saved in our energy field. An apprentice will often "download" an image from a scene that I've watched in a movie or on TV the night before. Or the description of someone's pet that I happened to stop and admire on the sidewalk in previous days. It's a blatant reminder of how important it is to be discriminating, regarding all that we allow into our consciousness. I believe that Eckhart Tolle (A New Earth) recommends watching movies and TV that elevate us above the level of consciousness, rather than those that lower us/(our vibrations).
That said, I continue to enjoy movies and TV programming that contain surprisingly metaphysical perspectives. In previous posts, I commented on the (now canceled) series, "Flash Forward." Recently, my son brought to my attention another new series: "Past Lives." The starring character is actually a regression therapist!
She's engaged a retired cop to help her piece together puzzles riddling her clients, those experiencing distracting (what I call) "past-life-overlays." Subjects have flashbacks, as if as real and tangible as recalling an event from last year (of the present lifetime). For my own experience, such spontaneous overlays are a bit more blurry, although those who have experienced regression therapy might report to the contrary.
In my first book, Beyond Boundaries, I describe an overlay that I experienced during my very first trip to London. Whenever this occurs, I call it a "double exposure," because that's what it feels like. It's as if I'm suddenly, spontaneously straddling two time periods at the same time—which I am. It can even make me feel a bit queasy or dizzy. Here is what I reported in BB:
I was touring the Tower alone, when I felt (an) overlay—male guards walking on either side of me. I could hear the sound of their shoes crunching on gravel, but couldn't see their faces. I had a strong present sense of fear and a risk involved with telling the truth. Again, I don't know if I was reliving an experience of incarceration at this specific spot, or if I was remembering one from a similar setting. I also knew that there had been a jailer who had been good to me, bringing me food and conversation... I went on to describe a "chance" meeting with a stranger who I recognized as the one who had been the jailer.
I experienced another overlay when my son was around three-years-old. I was tucking him in bed, about to hug him goodnight. Without notice, Dylan pulled me down to kiss me on the forehead. I remember thinking that it felt like more of a fatherly gesture, than one from a little boy. Dylan's kiss immediately opened up a portal beyond time. We were in old England. We were there....he was my father... he was dying. I was beside myself with grief. As my father is lying there on his death bed, he reaches up to kiss me on the forehead. He says, "Don't worry, we'll be together another time. I'll give you a sign."
In this very lifetime, awakened souls are becoming "integrated souls"—those who are remembering more and more aspects of their timeless, evolving soul. These "bleedthroughs" can come as instant flashes, feelings of deja vu, or in dreams. Pretty exciting, all that awakened souls are starting to remember through expanded consciousness.
