Funny Thing About the Future — It never, EVER Unfolds As You'd Imagine!

Future events always arrive in unexpected ways, so I'm forever advising clients to drop their expectations as to how future information will unfold. Our imaginations simply cannot stretch to the lengths (and depths) of the Universe in its ability to devise and choreograph those possible futures in astonishing and immensely creative ways!

This client's story provides a good example of how certain prophesied events came about in a completely unanticipated way:

"A year ago, I believe it was in May (2001), I had a phone consultation with you. One of the last things you had said to me was 'to look for an animal to come into my life in an unusual way'.

Well, I wanted you to know that you were absolutely correct. It happened a few weeks after our conversation. It was a Saturday and I was home cleaning my house. I decided to run out and grab some fast food for lunch. I was on my way home and came to a stop sign in my neighborhood. I saw a lady crouched down in front of a large pine tree. I then saw a tiny kitten come out from under the tree. I stayed at the stop sign thinking the kitten might decide to run out in the street; and I didn't want to hit it. I rolled down my window and asked her if she needed help catching her kitty. She said it wasn't her kitten and that it had been living under that tree for about 3 days. She was able to pick up the kitty and she brought it over to me. She said, "Do you want it?" I couldn't believe I heard myself say, "Okay". I already had a cat who was about 8 yrs old and at the time was suffering from an intestinal infection; ands he's always had a little bit of an attitude because she had been abused.

But, I looked at this sweet little kitty and couldn't refuse. She's a tortoise shell with lots of freckles on her sweet little face. Her eyes are a little crossed - which gives her the sweetest expression. And her tail is dark, but the very tip is completely a buff/orange color....it looks just like a little flame.

So here I was with my Burger King lunch - and a kitten!! I couldn't help but remember what you had told me.....this was definitely an unusual way for an animal to come into my life!

I almost named her Louise! But, the name just didn't seem to work. After trying out different names, she became "Grace" (or Gracie). She has been such a gift in my life. She has an unending supply of love and affection. And the most precious little face. She is quite the comedian and is also fearless and has no trouble putting my other cat "in her place" when that old attitude arises. The situation was extremely rough at the beginning, but It has been so wonderful to see their relationship develop and to watch my other cat "soften" in her demeanor.. She even tries to groom Grace!

Many other things that came up in the consultation made sense as time went on as well. I thinks it's time for another one, so I will be in touch soon.
