Spirit Led Me to the Motor Vehicle Department

My driver’s license expires soon, following my recent birthday. Yesterday, after Pilates, I sat in the car and dialed the nearby MVD (Motor Vehicle Dept) Express, a more convenient way to renew for a small fee, hoping to get in right in. It would save me driving farther to downtown Santa Fe and standing in line at the MVD Division. I waited on hold for over 20 minutes to connect with an agent.

Finally, I decided to stay on the call while heading over to the Pantry for a late lunch. It was time for some good Mexican fare. Once seated at a table, an agent finally answered my call and told me the wait time for ‘walk-ins’ at the MDV Express would be about 45 minutes. “Forget that,” I thought. “I'll just go online and make an appointment when I get home, hopefully before my license expires.”

I finished my fish tacos around 4:45 pm and suddenly felt a pull to go to the MVD Express, knowing it would be closing  at 5pm—and who knows how many people might still be waiting in line—but I've learned to trust that pull when ✨Spirit✨ leads the way.

I arrived at the MVD Express parking lot in about five minutes and walked the short distance into the building. The place was nearly empty, except for one customer standing at an agent's counter at the far end of a long row of empty stations, and one other agent sitting alone at her computer, closer to the entrance.

I stepped up to her station at 4:50 pm, and the gal took my initial information and asked for more details than I had with me. "Go take a photo of your license plate, and I'll get what I need from that," she suggested.

I dashed back out to the parking lot and took the photo. When I returned and showed it to her, she was able to gather everything she needed to guide me through all the steps, leading up to taking my picture.

I felt my heart open to this lovely, extremely helpful gal, thinking of how so many at her job might have sent me away until I could come back, better equipped with all the necessary information.

The heart is the conduit to the Source, the Universe, to everyone, and to everything. I felt 'tapped' to tune-in.

"Excuse me," I said to the gal, "I never want to be intrusive, but I'm an 'Intuitive,' and sometimes I'm nudged to share things I receive, even when I'm off-duty. Do you mind if I ask if you're religious—and if so, do you pray to Mother Mary?"

"Why yes!" she exclaimed, looking up from her computer, making eye contact. "I pray to her all the time!"

"Well," I said, "she wants you to know that she hears your prayers." I saw tears well up in the agent's eyes.

"— and she's telling me that you pray for others as well," I said.

"Yes, I do!" she said. "I pray for many..."

I explained to her how some think I'm being disrespectful or irreverent when I relay messages from 'The Big 'J' (Yesuah/Jesus) or from'The Big 'M' (Mother Mary). They simply want to show how ACCESSIBLE they are.

"Oh, thank you," she said, "I had been asking for a sign!"

"Oh, that's great!" I said, and then I thanked her again for all her patience in helping me renew my driver's license. On my way out, I turned to her and waved, and she blew me a kiss.

I love all the unexpected directions ✨Spirit✨ leads me when I move from head to heart!
